Fujisawa, Enoshima, Kamakura
This tour will take one full day, taking into account travel times from Tokyo.
Most of the venues in the Elfen Lied series are located in Fujisawa and Kamakura, northwest of Tokyo, and in the middle ground between them. Perhaps the most notable place is Enoshima Island, near Enoshima there is also a beach where Kouta meets Lucy for the first time.
*A side note, while you're in the area, be sure to also visit the "Ryudo Temple" of the Fate Stay Night series in Fujisawa, and the Engaku-Jin temple gate used as an exit from the same temple - the gate where Saber and Assassin meet on the stairs leading up to it!
Directions
Coming from Tokyo: From Shinagawa JR Station, take the Tokaido Shinkansen Line, which travels past Kawasaki and Yokohama, arriving at Fujisawa Station.
Of course, you can travel to Fujisawa in other ways, but the Shinkansen bullet train is by far the fastest and easiest means of transportation.
Enoshima Island
Once you arrive at Fujisawa Station, look for the exit that leads to Enoshima Electric Railway. The stations are separate buildings so you have to leave the JR station first. Once you reach the Enoshima line, take it to the Enoshima stop and get off the train. Head south to Enoshima Island! The two bridges leading to the island are easily identifiable from the series…!
Beach and town
Once you have found all the venues at Enoshima, return to Electric Railway and continue your journey further east - until you reach Gokurakuji station - so you will reach the same route as Yuka when he comes to meet Kouta in the first episode. Continue on foot from the station towards the east, and on the left you will find e.g. a familiar train tunnel. Continuing down the street to the east and a little to the northwest, you can see the familiar staircases and cemetery where Lucy and Nana fought - even when I visited the site the cemetery was closed to outsiders - maybe the tombstones had not yet been repaired!
Continue your journey and you will reach the beach - easily identifiable and very full of fishermen's supplies just like in the series!
Sasuke-Inari shrine
The route to the sanctuary or its location is quite impossible to explain as it is literally in the woods - the map above illustrates the location much better. This is the same shrine where Kouta and Yuka sheltered from the rain in the woods, and is one of the places really worth a visit. I actually took the same outdoor route through the forest that was used in the series, but the shrine is also led to by stairs (where Lucy meets the duo when they leave) - the route through the forest is a similar trail as in the series, and I had to crash a couple of times myself. along it. But the route is really quite similar to what is described in the series. The sanctuary itself is also very faithfully depicted and is immediately recognizable without comparison from the images.
