MISS KOBAYASHI'S DRAGON MAID

Tokyo (Koshigaya, Chiyoda)

Kobayashi lives in Koshigaya, a suburb of Tokyo, and works on Kiyosu-bashi Dori Street, quite close to Akihabara.

This excursion is easy in difficulty. The trip is effortless, especially if you are staying in Tokyo, as there are few train changes, the journeys are relatively short and almost all trains using the track stop at Koshigaya station. There is some walking, 3-6km depending on the route choices.

From Tokyo, the tour takes a day.

Directions

Koshigaya can be reached from central Tokyo using the Tobu Skytree Line. At Kitasenju station, for example, it is easy to change to the right train, but of course the most sensible change station always depends on your own starting point.

If you want to travel with Miss Kobayashi on a business trip, you should start your trip from Tokyo to Kiyosu-Bash and continue towards Koshigaya!

Koshigaya

The surroundings of Koshigaya station are immediately recognizable from the series - the exception is the street of small shops favored by Tohru, which is unfortunately just a street without a "bazaar atmosphere". At the beginning of the series, Tohru and Kobayashi live on the west side of the station, and you should walk the same route yourself. Kobayashi's second, larger apartment can be found on the east side of the station, along the Motoara River. Walking on this side is park-like and pleasant, and on the route it's worth remembering Tohru's fun "marching style" - when our dog walks with Fafnir. =)

The surroundings of Koshigaya station are very familiar with the region for lovers of the series…

chiyoda

Kobayashi's workplace is located in Tokyo, quite close to Akihabara. Again, most of the locations depicted in the series are instantly recognisable. Unfortunately, when I visited during the day, Kobayashi and Takiya's standard afterwork Izakaya was closed, and I didn't have time to visit the place again this time in the evening - if you want to visit "one" in the same place as Kobayashi & Tohru, you should not go there until after five or six in the evening.

In addition to the workplace, the map shows an assumed commute route - at least once, Kobayashi and Tohru went through it.

Quick visit, lots to see!

This trip is quite short and quick, but still very memorable because the area is depicted in the series very accurately and faithfully to its prototype. When walking in Koshigaya, you easily get the feeling that at any time you can meet "acquaintances" on the street...
