ORE NO IMOUTO KONNA NI KAWAII WAKE GA NAI

Tokyo (Chiba)

Oreimo, the whole of which is called Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai, is located mainly in Chiba. Chiba is a short train ride from Tokyo.

This excursion is easy in difficulty. The trip is effortless to complete, especially if you are staying in Tokyo, as there are few train changes, the journeys are relatively short and the stations used are central stations that are difficult to make mistakes. Compared to other excursions, walking also accumulates quite moderately.

Akihabara, where the series is also "filmed" is left out of this article for the time being, Akiba will have its own articles later - and it may not be necessary to draw up directions to Akiba anyway, all otaku roads eventually lead there anyway... Comiket, on the other hand, is organized in the Tokyo Big Sight building, remarkable a landmark in itself and easy to find.

From Tokyo, this excursion takes less than a day.

Directions

Chiba can be reached directly from Tokyo without any changes using the Sobu Main line, the easiest station for the line is usually Tokyo JR Central Station. Another option is the Keiyo line, whichever you want to travel with.

Travel to Chiba JR Station, where when you get out you will immediately notice a familiar monorail train track nearby, you will know right away that you are definitely in the right place!

Chiba

From Chiba Station, head north, toward Chiba Park. The park is familiar to everyone from the beginning of the series, and is of course also a favorite pastime for locals. Continue through the park to the north and finally towards Chibakengokoku Shrine. Notice the place in front of the sanctuary where Manami usually waits for Kyosuke as they walk together to school!

Continue north, heading towards Chiba Prefecture's “Commercial High School”. If you have enough time, you can still go in the direction of the Hanami river to look for familiar landscapes - the nearest Kemigawahama JR station can be reached, e.g. On the Keiyo line.

The picture shows Chiba's station, park, school, and the intersection where Kyosuke meets Manam in the mornings.

Small area, still lots to see

This trip is quite short and fast compared to the others, but no less inferior - I recommend to all Oreimo lovers a visit to Chiba, exploring the home corners of Kirino and Kyosuke!
