Mandarake

Mandarake is one of Japan's largest buyers and sellers of anime and manga and related products. Mandarella has numerous stores all over Japan and the flagship of all these stores is naturally in Akihabara.

The Mandarake store in Akihabara is called "Complex" and the name describes the store well - it's an entire apartment building, full to the brim with finds. If you happen to be looking for any past release, figure, dakimakura, or other specific product, you should definitely visit Mandarake Complex. (Mandarake's first store was and still is on Nakano Broadway - if you have time, you should definitely visit Nakano as well.)

  • Only used products.
  • Mandarake trades in everything related to anime and manga - you can make real discoveries here!
  • The store is indeed full of goods from floor to ceiling and quite cramped, the spaces between the showcases and shelves are narrow. The stairwell is an open "fire escape", there are also two elevators in use.
  • When a certain purchase limit is exceeded, Mandarake offers the option of direct Tax Free purchases.
