In a world in which humans are almost extinct and any survivors are hunted and killed, an automaton known as the Golem (voice of Daisuke Ono) finds Somali (Inori Minase), a young human girl, in his forest one day. He begins to care for her and the bond between them grows as they travel together, but the Golem fears he does not have long left and although they do not wish to be parted from each other, he is afraid that he will soon be forced to leave Somali.
